Welcome to the website of Charlsie Russell and Loblolly Writers House, author and home of historical mystery and suspense set in Mississippi. Each novel offers readers a complimentary sojourn in Southern history, replete with a sensual romance. Honors Banner is now for sale on Amazon in both kindle and print formats. For those of you who have been waiting for its arrival, thank you for your patience and your patronage. For those unfamiliar with my work, Honors Banner is the sequel to my fifth novel, Camellia Creek, a Southern Gothic set in the fall of 1865 during the closing weeks of Presidential Reconstruction. Honors Banner furthers Marine Corps major Seth Parkers investigation into the murder of Treasury operative Alan Guthrie, unresolved at the end of Camellia Creek. The two novels combine to create a saga rich in history, mystery, and suspense, all spiced with romance. They are written by a Southerner and are decidedly and unapologetically pro-Southern in theme.
